This is what we have all been waiting for, Sam Cramer has finally got round to talking to his old friend (little old me) about everything Eyes.
Q: So lets go all boring and ask, What are you're influences?
Sam: Well, it started out as a bit of fun, as you know, I did one cover of Soco Amaretto Lime, sent it to a few friends and they all said they liked it and should carry on. I basically just use things that I like, things I dont like. Just stuff that goes on around me.
Q: Anyone who knows you knows that your a massive Brand New fan, are they the only place you get influences musically from?
haha, yes I do like Brand New, a lot, and yes they are a massive influence, their music means a lot to me, but I also love Owl City, PlayRadioPlay... more than I can list. People tend not to know who I mean, I don't like a band becuase they are big, I like them cos they mean something. the fact they do something different, which is what I try and do, I'm not fussed if people like my music, I do it for me, and if they like it, bonus!
Q: Its a well known fact that you're part of a few other bands, sixmilesince, newyorkcityheartattack just to name two... has Eyes had an impact on them?
I like to keep all my bands seperate. Eyes is something I like, because it means I can hide in my room and do what I like, if it goes wrong I've only got me to blame. But I love playing with the guys, being with a band is a completely different feeling, and as you know each band has its own sound, which is something I'm proud of.
Q: So how rich are you after iTunes kicked off?
haha, iTunes was a massive deal, I didn't realise it would sell, but yeah.... it's cool... Like I said, I do it for me, if i get signed WOW, if not... hey I had fun
